December 9, 2009

We woke up to our first real snowstorm of the season - so exciting!!! Took us 2 hours to walk to the corner grocery store, and we were frozen popsicles when we got back! Then we did the rookie move of shoveling the walk way moments BEFORE the snow plough came through, so we got to do double the shoveling! Luckily, it's still novel and kind of fun for us - I'm sure we'll change our tune over the next few months!!!!!!

December 8, 2009

I woke up this morning with sweet memories of Kea's Christmas concert last night. Such beautiful voices, and sweet, nervous little girls! A bit boring for Ryland after an hour, but thankfully Nana Heather was there to read some books from the Church to him - and he also learned all about manners in the playground and about a baby named Jesus!

December 6, 2009

The view from my exhausted collapse at the end of a long day - braving the mall to finish up our package for the family we sponsored this year, cookie baking for a party that Jamie and Ryland attended, Hansel and Gretel ballet with the girls (so much fun!), dinner making, book reading and ONE HOUR of wrestling with an exhausted, sugar overloaded, crying toddler before he finally succumbed to sleep. Soon, my turn to succumb...........

December 5, 2009

The view as I slowly wake up with a much-needed cup of coffee this morning. Jamie continues to work on designs for our ever-evolving new house and Ryland plays with his beloved train set. The girls are at a sleepover, and we're marveling at how EASY one little toddler is to have at home!
Another sunny day here in Ottawa, I'm excited for the snows to arrive, but am going to enjoy this great weather for as long as it lasts.
