Hilton Head

 So, we arrived in Hilton Head and spent a few windswept days there with Jamie's mom.  Wishing for more warmth and beach time, but accepting the sweater weather and change of plans:-)  The best thing by far about this island is the bike-ability.  There are bike rental places all over the place, with beach cruisers, kids bikes, trail-along bikes, child carriers - and then bike paths all over the island!!!!!  I loved it, and we tried to bike as much as possible!  The variety of birds here is amazing, I can't get over all the different flora, and I'm always happy to just wander along the beach every chance I get, cold winds or not!!!  Here's a few photos from our stay, to give you a glimpse of our holiday -

A Day in the Life - Mar. 3, 2013 (part two)

So, for the second half of the day, we hopped back into the car and drove and drove and drove.  

Stopped for gas when we were running on empty and the kids were going to pee their pants.....

My knitting, being taken apart because, well, that seems to be what I do with the majority of my knitting:-)

A quick call to Nana Heather to let her know where we are

and then we're back on the road.......

Time to pull out the map - getting closer:-)

And finally, we have arrived......

So happy to be out of the car - changed into new pj's from Nana Heather

ate a quick snack.....

and then enjoyed the special treat of a little tv before going to bed.

Ahhhhhh, one of my favourite time of any day - tea, book and a soft bed to crawl into!
